La Manga del Mar Menor (in Murcia, Spain) is a 24km long strip of land, which stretches from Palos Cape towards the north, formed by the sedimentation of sand carried by the dominant currents in the area.

The main economic activity is tourism and leisure-related services, there being a wide variety of water sports and activities on offer, especially sailing - as conditions are perfect in the Mar Menor. You can enjoy the warm climate all year round, as well as visit the numerous, long beaches.

The unique conditions of salinity in the Mar Menor provide fish and seafood of a special flavour; the star products of La Manga, where they are usually prepared baked on a bed of salt.

For example, baked Mullet, dried Mullet eggs, gilthead bream filled with lobster, sea bass, monk fish, sole, tuna, sea bream and grouper are just some of delicious fish dishes that the generous Mediterranean can offer us.
